About the Process

Yes. NutriFresh has an accredited HACCP Food Safety Plan as well as ISO 9001:2008 accreditation. We are audited annually by an accredited agency as well as a number of recognised food and distribution companies.

NutriFresh has an established five-week cycle menu and produces meals from Monday through to Thursday each week, all year round. Once the menu and the resident/client numbers have been agreed, the order will be set up on weekly delivery sheets. The only time you have to change these sheets is when your numbers change or the number of normal / soft meals vary.

Residential Aged Care Facilities - NutriFresh supplies food in bulk to be portioned at your facilities. The product is delivered in refrigerated NutriFresh trucks at below 5 degrees C. Food is delivered three days a week (generally Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday).

Meals on Wheels - NutriFresh supplies meals pre-packaged in three compartment, dual ovenable containers. All meals are labelled with reheating instructions. Food is delivered three days a week (generally Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday).

Resident/client numbers are the basis for the invoice and is calculated on a daily price per resident/client multiplied by the number of meals.

Switching to the Nutrifresh System

NutriFresh will provide a "buddy" system in the first month followed by regular visits. Your food service staff will spend a day at NutriFresh to see how the system works and also spend time at other facilities that use the cook chill system, giving them an opportunity to ask questions. You will be given a regeneration manual showing how each dish is regenerated and handy tips and garnishing ideas. Finally a NutriFresh chef will work with your kitchen staff to show them how to regenerate food, presentation and general kitchen practices.
